Hello! Sorry I have been kinda awol! I had Birmingham MCM come up and then Kitacon the week after and in between this I have been working a ton!The lenses in this post are sponsored by Uniqso but the views expressed in this review are my own.
AND I REALLY LIKE THESE LENSES. They are possibly the best packaged lenses I have ever received; in a really cute box AND come with a lens case which is see through so can actually tell which lenses they are…VERY helpful. The staff at the company are wonderful too thank you guys <33. Shopping is easy with uniqso and the shipping was fast!
I have also worn them to work and been complimented on the colour! It really blends nicely with my natural eyes! These are really gonna benefit some of my costumes!!! (And now I’ll feel braver to do cosplay tests of purple eyes characters!) Check them out!!!
To note; I have naturally light eyes which are quite large anyway, most images taken on a Canon DSLR, and with flash. I take a 3.50 and a 3.25 prescription.
The lenses themselves are Dizon Dolly Eye Violet.
The specs are:
- dia; 14.5mm
- bc; 8.6mm
- lifespan; 1 year
One was slipping on one of my eyes but I chalk that down to my slight astigmatism.
SO VIVID. You can see how purple they are.
Not a big enlargement, but these ones are not designed for the huge enlargement.
Onto my test! It is Tomoe from Kamisama Hajimemashita. I started by using Illamasqua’s RF105 for pale toned skin, and sealed it with translucent setting powder from Grimas. (Please use moisturiser and primer before hand usually, I was lazy today!)
Then I used a basic palette for my eyebrows, which I have kinda done a little wonky today, apologies. I used Sugarpill’s black eyeshadow to do the corners of my eyes using an angled brush. I used a basic eyeshadow palette for contouring, which was greys and browns. I usually bring my eyebrows down a bit doing this, and heavily brought out my eyelid crease. I didn’t contour the rest of my face as the character doesn’t have such sharp cheekbones haha!
Then I plonked a wig on my head (which I have reviewed here) and attmpted to make it look like “ears” which I finally managed (kinda) in the last pics!
Stepping away from the cat tree and sofa and then by a plain wall, and added a little filtering and viola!
